Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect only what the studio needs to work:

• Account details: your email address and how you sign in (Google or email and password), managed by Firebase Authentication. With Google sign-in, Firebase also receives the name and profile photo from your Google account; we show the photo in the app menu.
• Photos you upload and the images we generate from them.
• Facial analysis results: descriptions of features such as face shape, skin tone, eye color, hair, lips, brows, teeth, an estimated age and gender presentation, and style recommendations. See "Facial analysis" below.
• What you create: makeovers, saved analyses, favorite and custom styles, and your makeup product library.
• Plan and billing status: your plan, trial and subscription status, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Card details are entered on Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Usage counts: how many images, analyses and style suggestions you used this month, to apply plan limits.
• Contact form messages: your name, email, subject and message, which are emailed to our support inbox and not stored in our database.
• Testimonials you choose to submit: the name you enter and your text, with your consent to publish them. We review them first, publish only the name and text, and you can withdraw a testimonial from your profile at any time.
• Technical data: a one-way hash of your IP address when you use the contact form or AI features (to limit abuse; deleted within about three days), operational logs without photo content, and, when analytics is enabled, usage data collected by Google Analytics. We also report subscription purchases and cancellations to Google Analytics with a one-way hash of your account ID, the plan, amount and Stripe subscription ID.

How we use it

We use your information to run the studio (analyzing photos and generating makeovers), apply your plan and process payments, answer support requests, keep the service secure and prevent abuse, and understand in aggregate how the product is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos for advertising.

Facial analysis

When you ask for recommendations, an AI model describes the visible features in your photo so we can suggest styles that suit you. The results are saved with your makeover or saved analysis so you can come back to them.

We do not use facial analysis to identify you or anyone else, and we do not create face-recognition templates. Before your first analysis we ask for your consent. You can delete analysis results at any time by deleting the makeover or saved analysis, or your account.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that process it for us to run FaceBananas:

• Google Firebase and Google Cloud: hosting, sign-in, database, file storage and server functions.
• Google Gemini API: receives the photo and instructions for each analysis or generation and returns the result.
• Stripe: subscriptions, checkout and the billing portal. We share your email and account identifier with Stripe.
• MailerSend: delivers contact form messages to our support inbox.
• Google Analytics: usage measurement when enabled, and subscription purchase and cancellation events.
• Google reCAPTCHA (through Firebase App Check): distinguishes the real app from automated abuse, when enabled.
• Google Fonts: serves the site's typeface, so your browser requests it from Google on each visit.

Public share links

Your photos and makeovers are not shown to anyone else unless you share them. If you create a public share link, the shared image becomes viewable by anyone with the link. Share pages ask search engines not to index them, and each link and its image are deleted automatically after 30 days. You can also revoke a link sooner.

How long we keep data

We keep your account data, photos, makeovers and analysis results until you delete them or your account. Images that no longer belong to any makeover or favorite are removed by a daily cleanup. Public share links expire after 30 days. Stripe keeps billing records as required by law.

Your choices and rights

You can delete individual makeovers, saved analyses and styles in the app. You can delete your account from your profile: this cancels any subscription and permanently deletes your sign-in, stored data, photos, generated images and share links.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict some processing. To make a request, email support@nannertech.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Cookies and browser storage

FaceBananas keeps your sign-in session, theme preference, cookie choice and short-lived progress markers in your browser's storage. Google Analytics cookies are optional: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are set only if you accept them, and you can change your choice anytime with the Cookie settings link in the footer. Stripe and reCAPTCHA may set their own cookies on the pages where they run.

Children

FaceBananas is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and you may not upload photos of minors.

Security and international processing

Your photos and data are stored in your account's private storage and served to the app through unguessable links, and payments are handled by Stripe. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate.

We will update this page and its date when this policy changes, and tell you in the app about significant changes.
